Hi Daniel,
Thanks for everything!
It was an enormous happiness to have visited the Academy of River Plate in Australia.
I was very impressed with the quality of the trainings, the care toward the institution and the players.
The mission and the vision of this Football school will give great fruits in very little time. With the quality of work that I have seen in this school, Australians have nothing to envy the River Plate in Argentina.
I had the pleasure to be coach with such as Landaburu, Gustosi or the great Delem and these coaches in Australia are delivering a very similar program.
As I said earlier this school has a great future and they can always count with me and I will always be willing to give my help and knowledge to our beloved club.
An enormous hug and see you soon.
Juan
By far the biggest remains River Plate.... and it will be even larger!!! |
Hola Daniel,
Juan
Por lejos................. El mas grande sigue siendo River Plate.... y será mas grande aún!!! |
St Patrick’s College

The First XI is pleased to welcome a new coach
this year from Argentina, Juan Bautista Propato.
Juan is currently the full time Coaching
Development Co-ordinator for 3 northern region
clubs, Karori, Onslow and North Wellington.
Juan has a master’s degree in High Performance
in Sports by the Argentinean Olympic Committee
(COA) also he has a degree as a PE teacher
(professor of physical education).
Juan has been teaching football more than 10
years (in Argentina, Brazil, Cuba and currently
New Zealand). He has played professionally,
spending 3 years with River Plate in Argentina and
he will play for North Wellington this year.
Juan will bring a professional approach to our
game and if the training is anything to go by, it
should be an exciting year.
Juan’s philosophy
Football has been part of my growing experience,
not only in my childhood years but has formed me
the man I have become today: it is not only a
game; it has been my compass and philosophy
applying it not only to my work and profession but
in my every day life. As an experienced football
player and football coach I believe it is my duty to
share the joy of the game, framed and respecting
its governing rules and regulations to always
practice a fair play, reinforcing ethical behaviour
with integrity and professionalism in every stage
of the competition and hoping that they will carry
that on to their personal lives.
Currently we are training 3 times a week. Tuesday
and Thursday mornings 7-8.15 a.m., and once at
the weekend. We won our first preseason game
against the 16th Federation team 3-2. Our goals
all came in the first 15 minutes, not bad as this
was our first time together.
