On the 26th September 2009,The CA River Plate Director of coaching Mr Gabriel Rodriguez met representatives of the River Plate Football Academy Australia ,Mr Eduardo Santomil (Official Representative in Buenos Aires) and Mr Enrique Santos academy's specialist coach in Buenos Aires Argentina, to discuss the development of the 4 players from Australia who recently arrived at the club and the overall performance of the Academy in Australia.
Mr Rodriguez said that the club was very pleased with the standard Australian players introduced by the academy and also pointed out that
The River Plate Football Academy in Australia is considered by the CA River Plate in Argentina as the best River Plate academy in overseas,

due to the following reasons:
1-Dedication, professionalism and the projection into the future as highlighted in the academy's 5 year plan
2-Progresive achievements since its creation in 2006.
3-Number of players already introduced to the CA River Plate.
4-Quality of the Australian players who visited the club.
5-Presentation and dress code of all our players and coaches.
6-Meeting all the obligations, rules and responsibilities as detailed in the official contract.
7-Representation and the work carried out within our club in Argentina by the Australian academy official representative.
8-Operational organisation and quality coaching.
9-Self-sufficient business model which it should to be followed by other River Plate Academies in the world.
9-Establishing cultural relationships between the two countries, involving the Club and the Australian Embassy representatives in the project.
 
The River Plate Football Academy Australia representatives were very pleased with the outcome of this meeting but highlighted a number of challenges the academy and the club is still facing in a football developing country in terms of infra-structure, but they praised the support of the families and the professionalism and creativity of the coaches, for creating an enviroment conducive to learning and a very special and happy place to be for all the players and families.
