RE: Trip to Argentina

TRIP:
Players attending this trip will train and play with C A River Plate’ junior squad in Argentina for 1 at 3 months.
The trip is designed to be educational and a developmental football experience for all players involved.

FLIGHTS:
The contingent will depart second week of April and return May/June/ July.
They will depart from Tullamarine airport .Tickets will be booked upon the payment of the first deposit.
Qantas/ Lan Chile or Aerolineas Argentinas are the companies who travel to Argentina.

ACCOMODATIONS:
Players will stay in a secured apartment with 24 hour concierge and security which will contain all required amenities, including internet connection and computers.
The apartment will be situated in the vicinity of the Monumental Stadium and the junior players training venues or in the River Plate apartments situated within River Plate, next to the Monumental Stadium.

TRANSPORT:
Players will be driven and escorted daily to the training grounds and to the apartment as required, by a mini-bus or Taxis, whatever is more convenient.

FOOD:
All meals and trips is not included in the fees.
Any special needs must be notified to our management.

UNIFORMS:
All training attire will be provided by the club on arrival at least 1 sets of each.
A track suit from our Academy will be provided before departure, and must be worn at all special events.
Boots must be provided by the players, but new ones can also be purchased in Argentina at good rates.
All other gear can be purchased at Rivermania, the official River Plate shop situated in the Stadium.

TRAINING:
Players will be required to attend all trainings and activities as schedule by the club plus other sessions that may be organised by our Academy as required.
Players are required to train all mornings from 9 am till 12 am and are also required to attend the gymnasium / or other activities in the afternoon.
By strict FIFA rules, players will not be able to participate in league matches but practice matches are played on weekly basis.

SCHOOLING:
Players will be required to keep up with their pre-arranged school work. See your school to organise your home work.
An English speaking teacher aid and/or teachers from the English department of the CA River Plate secondary school will be available for academic consultation if needed.

ENTERTAIMENT:
During weekends our Staff / the club will organise activities for their entertainment that will include: attending matches, sight seeing and shopping.

CONTACT:
Players will be encouraged to keep close contact through the internet with family and friends to minimise feeling home sick. The 13 hour difference must be taken into account, as not to interfere with players sleeping patterns.

MEDICAL EXAMINATION:
Before departure all players must undertake a medical examination and vaccination as recommended and be cleared by a physician to travel.
Travel insurance is compulsory, even our Sports cover insurance may covers some aspects of the trip.

SPANISH LESSONS:
We also recommend that players take some Spanish lessons before departure.
We can organise a Spanish teacher if all players’ parents can agree to attend at once.

CUSTODY AND MANAGEMENT:
While in Argentina, they will be under the custody of Mr Eduardo Santomil who will act as the player’s guardian during their stay in Argentina.

FEES:
The total cost of the trip will be (3 months) AU$ 12.000, may vary, due to unforseen changes in Argentina’s economy.

After booking all the tickets we will be able to confirm an exact day and time of departure and Accommodation.
The rest of the monies are due by the 1st March .

CANCELLATIONS:
Once the tickets are purchased, Airline penalties and cancellation fees apply.

MEMBERSHIPS:
All players must carry their River Plate international membership cards, to be allowed access to all facilities, games and training grounds.

INFORMATION DAY:
Parents and travellers will meet on the ..................... at Daniel Santomil house at ............ Am for a light meal and to clarify any details of the trip and finalise all paperwork.
